Practical information

Everything you want to know about how we work, our care regions, rates and availability.

How we work

We can support you from the start of pregnancy until 1 year after birth, with attention to mum, baby and family.

You can contact a midwife by phone or WhatsApp (contact) to plan an introductory meeting. During this first visit we’re glad to get to know you, explain how we work and take the time to answer your questions. That way you get a clear picture of what we can mean for you.

Does it feel right on both sides? Then together we start your journey at JUNO and plan the further consultations.

Familiar surroundings

At JUNO we believe you grow best in surroundings that give trust and calm. That’s why we offer tailored care, at your home. We work mainly at home, in your familiar surroundings. Midwife Eline also has a practice room (Pijlstraat 12, Retie) where prenatal consultations and pregnancy massages can take place.

For every appointment we give an approximate time. Because we visit several families throughout the day, this moment can sometimes shift slightly.

You are always followed by a fixed midwife from our team, so continuity and trust can grow. We make sure you see at most two different midwives. During weekends and holidays colleagues take over the on-call duty. We always communicate this in advance, so you know exactly who will be there for you. We have a 7/7 care guarantee: there is always someone available for home visits.

Finally, we work closely with a network of care providers. That way we can refer you in a targeted way where needed and guarantee broad, aligned care for your family.

Rates

We work as non-contracted midwives. This means that on top of the statutory rate paid by your health insurance fund, we charge a supplement. We made this choice tosafeguard the quality of our care.

These supplements allow us to:

  • take enough time per consultation
  • offer high-quality, personal care

They cover, among other things:

  • file costs and follow-up booklet
  • mileage allowance
  • telephone availability
  • weekend and on-call duties
  • continuing education
  • medical materials

Reimbursement

These costs are (partly to fully) reimbursed via your hospitalisation insurance, depending on your policy. Ask your own hospitalisation insurer about the exact conditions.

Payment

  • Visits are settled immediately (contactless)
  • Each month you receive an overview for your insurance; this document makes reimbursement possible

The full price list is available from your midwife.

Availability

Pregnancy and the arrival of a baby often bring many questions and uncertainties. Sometimes you need a listening ear, reassurance or simply an answer to a question on your mind. That’s why we’re reachable by phone or message for questions about your pregnancy or baby.

We are reachable daily between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.. During weekends, absences or holiday periods we arrange an available colleague. When you contact us, we try to answer as soon as possible. Naturally we give priority to urgent questions and situations.

During home visits we can’t always answer the phone, because at that moment we give a family our full attention. Feel free to leave a message; we’ll call you back as soon as possible.

In urgent medical situations, when you can’t reach us or at night, please contact the hospital directly or the service currently caring for you (or call 112!).

We think it’s important that you know there is always someone to fall back on with questions, doubts or worries. That’s why we’re also ready between appointments to support you as best we can.
